Smoked Haddock Fish Cake

Serves 8


  • 600g maris piper potatoes

  • 400g of frozen smoked haddock fillets 2 slices of brown bread

  • Chives


Peel and boil the potatoes for 15 -20 minutes until soft. Meanwhile place the fish in an ovenproof dish uncovered and cook per packet instructions in the oven. Once the potatoes are cooked mash them well. Mash in the cooked fish and chopped chives (half a packet) add plenty of salt and pepper. Add the bread to a food processor to make crumbs. Shape the fish cake mix into 8 patties. Then coat in the bread crumbs. Place them all back in the oven at 180* for around 10-12 mins until nice and crispy on the outside.

We have served these with Spiced up Peas.

To make this vegan you can add a nori sheet and 100g of chickpeas to the potatoes.
