
Ingredients- serves 4
500g lean diced beef
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
fill half a tin with water
1 tin of pinto beans (drained)
80g red lentils
4 sticks of celery
2 level tsp of: ground cumin, chilli powder, smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Method
Brown the beef in a pan for a few minutes with a splash of water. Add all of the spices. Mix well then add everything else. Pop in the oven (in an oven proof pot/pan with lid) at 175* and cook for 2hours 30 minutes. Check after an hour and if it appears dry then add some water to loosen. You can also do this in a slow cooker.
